This site is dedicated to our recreational coaches in hopes to provide as many tool possible to have a successful season as an EYSA Volunteer Coach. All coaches in EYSA/AL Rush are required to have back ground checks (every year renewal) and pass the National Concussion certification test. No Head coach or Assistant coaches are allowed on the side lines without these qualifications. 

All coaches will need a Got Soccer coaching account. Gotsoccer has setup a new system please register as soon as possible. 
All coaches will be required (all Free) to 1) Have Background Check 2) Take the Safe Sport Online Class 3) Take the Coach Safely Online Class. You cannot be put on a roster until all 3 items are completed.

Fall 2020 Coaches Scheduling Meetings
 

Coaches will set their schedules for the season, so please bring a calendar so you know the dates you can and cannot play. You must attend this meeting otherwise the coaches that show up will schedule the date and time that they want to play. We will schedule the U6 coaches meeting after the jamboree.

EYSA/AL RUSH COACHING EDUCATION PROGRAMS


EYSA/AL Rush uses a four level FREE coaching course model. You have asked us to provide more advanced training and we feel this will you’re your request. You must take the levels in order (you can request to skip level with DOC approval). Also remember if you take one class a season you 1st child play for FREE and if you finish all 4 levels you 1st child plays for Free at ALL FUTURE Seasons in the recreational program. 

Remember to register as a coach first, do back ground check, and concussion protocol prior to class.

Level 1 New to Coaching Soccer: No Maximum number of participants
4 hour coaching course: Covers - Introduction to Coaching Soccer, Rules of the Game, Teaching Technique, Team Administration, Organization or Practices, and Basic Tactics. This is the first class that all EYSA Coaches should take at a minimum.

Level 2 Course: No Maximum number of participants
4 hour coaching course: Covers – Seasonal planning for teams (Goals, skill improvement, retention of players), Improving Technical Ability, Appropriate training games/activities to improve skill levels, Coaching with the game (practice and games), and improving quality of practice.

Level 3 Course: Maximum 12 participants

5 hour coaching course: Covers – Focus on tactics with thirds of the field, technical position overviews, Match analysis and how to improve your team, psychological aspect of coaching
Time/Date: TBD (contact Bill if you want to attend the class)

Level 4 Course: Maximum 10 participants
5 hour coaching course: Covers – Examination of different systems play, coaches will be filmed at practice and receive an analysis, coaches will be examined while coaching a game and given analysis

Age Directors:


Coaches, your age director will be critical for you to have a successfull season. This person will be responsible for giving you practice times/dates (if at EYSA/Gadsden State fields), working your schedule and scheduling requests. concerns or issues, re-schedules, and any other issues you have during the season.
